Replacements
Most skylight leaks come from units 15+ years old that have lost their seal or have failed flashing underneath. We pull the old unit, inspect and rebuild the kerb, fit a new skylight, and re-plaster the shaft if it's stained.
Example
From a recent install.

Case study
Old units pulled, kerbs rebuilt, two new skylights in by lunch.
Do
What we get right.
Pull the old unit and inspect the roof for any deterioration or damage underneath.
Address what's found on the day. Damage covered over comes back as a problem years down the track.
Re-plaster the shaft if there's any staining. A new skylight in a stained shaft still looks tired.
Don’t
What ruins the install.
Don't re-fit a new unit onto a soft kerb. The new install will fail the same way the old one did.
No covering up damaged roof or frames. No reusing old components.
Don't paint over shaft stains and call it done. The mould comes back through.
Tell us about the room.
Fixed-price quote in writing. No subcontractor handoffs. No surprises.
